The Big Island Filipino Community Council Foundation has been launched.
The new nonprofit registered in July with the state of Hawaii.
According to the organizers, the BIFCC Foundation is the only recognized affiliate of the United Filipino Council of Hawaii Foundation on the Big Island, as a result of a resolution that was unanimously approved by the delegates in August during the annual UFCHF convention on Kauai.
The foundation’s mission is to preserve the rich legacy of Filipino culture and empower the next generation of Filipinos in Hawaii, and to perpetuate a vibrant understanding of Filipino heritage.
