Here are the preliminary election results, according to the Virginia Board of Elections:
Shenandoah County
Voter turnout: 78 percent
Board of Supervisors, District 4: Kyle Gutshall received 61% of the vote while Murdock Snarr received 38.06%. District 1: Mark Dotson, who was running unopposed, received 96.91% of the vote. District 5: Dennis Morris, who was running unopposed, received 94.05% of the vote.
School Board, District 1: Mike Scheibe received 58.23% of the vote while Brent Wilson received 40.35%. District 4: Whitney Pence received 59.25% of the vote while Yvonne Lytton received 40.02%. District 5: Larry Vance, current board member and running unopposed, received 97.81% of the vote.
New Market: Jon Henry won a special election to sit on the Town Council.
