SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Incumbent Republican John Safford has declared victory in the 2025 Saratoga Springs mayoral race. He beats out Democrat and current Saratoga County Supervisor Michele Madigan.

In his candidate interview with NEWS10, Safford said two of his biggest priorities are affordable housing and addressing the city's homeless population. Throughout his last two years as mayor, the Republican has supported the city's recently-passed camping ban, negotiated union contracts and began digitizing records in the Saratoga Springs Building Department.
