The North Haven community remembered an 8-year-old boy and his grandfather at a vigil Tuesday evening. Both were killed in a house fire early Monday morning.

“It’s just unfathomable to in the blink of an eye to lose a child to a fire and also the grandfather John,” Rev. Robert Turner, of St. Barnabas Church, said.

It’s a loss that cuts deep for people there, after a deadly house fire on George Street early Monday morning. Firefighters say 72-year-old John Morris and 8-year-old Aurelian Kamp were trapped on the second floor and died. Rev. Turner says he has fond memories of Aurelian, who was very involved in the church.
