Rishabh Pant is set to make his comeback in Test cricket after more than 100 days. The star wicketkeeper-batter will be named in India’s squad for the 2-match series against South Africa, beginning November 14 in Kolkata. Pant suffered a toe injury on the first day of the Manchester Test while facing Chris Woakes. Though he returned the next day to bat and even scored a fifty, he was eventually ruled out of the tour to undergo rehabilitation at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

According to PTI, the national selection committee is likely to finalise the squad on Tuesday, with Pant replacing N Jagadeesan — the only expected change from the team that faced the West Indies earlier this year.
