Attorney Laura Wasser is 20 minutes late to the office. She had to drop her son off at school, and there was a shutdown on Coldwater Canyon; plus she’s been stuck on her cell phone all morning dealing with two ex parte notices. She explains this as she walks from her law firm’s lobby on the eighth floor of a Century City high-rise to her private office, still on the phone. “Don’t worry,” she tells me. “I’m just listening at this point.” Wasser’s office is funkier than one may expect from someone in the business of untangling people from their vows.
