During an election rally in Bihar, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a sharp dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling him a “symbol of bad luck” for his party.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the rally, Sarma remarked that wherever Rahul Gandhi goes, defeat follows.

“Wherever Rahul comes, he is ready to lose. Rahul is a symbol of bad luck,” Sarma said. “That’s why I keep telling people in Assam — ask for more Rahul. The more he comes, the smaller the Congress’s hopes of winning become. Even the little chance they have gets destroyed.”

The Assam Chief Minister, who has often been one of the BJP’s most vocal critics of Rahul Gandhi, made the comment while campaigning for the NDA candidates in Bihar ahead of the upcoming state elections. His remarks drew laughter
