(Pierre, SD) — Governor Rhoden is appointing a new judge to serve as a supreme court justice. Judge Robert Gusinsky will fill the vacancy in the First Supreme District. He’s currently the presiding judge of the Seventh Circuit. He takes the place of the Honorable Janine Kern, who retired. Gusinsky served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office before his appointment to the 7th Circuit bench.
