Monty and his brother, Phoenix, were just four and a half weeks old when they were surrendered to animal control.
The Kathleen C. Cailloux Humane Society of Kerrville (KCHS) in Texas welcomed the two fragile pups with open arms.
The staff devotedly cared for them, believing it wouldn’t be long before both found loving homes. Though shy and uncertain at first, Monty and Phoenix slowly grew comfortable within the safety of the shelter.
They spent their early days playing together in the grass, always dreaming of what it would be like to have a family of their own.
A Sad Return
Monty was the first to find a home, leaving Phoenix behind at the shelter.
His gentle nature made him a favorite, and soon he was adopted into a family that gave him the affection he had longed for.
