A 59-year-old Delhi Jal Board employee was found dead in his flat in Delhi’s Rohini on Monday afternoon with a stab injury on the right side of his neck, police said.

Police said the incident came to light when the deceased’s son alerted authorities through a PCR call at around 3.30 pm. The Rathi family has two houses in Delhi’s Rohini Sector-24.

ANI quoted Ankur Rathi as saying that his father, Suresh Kumar Rathi, had not returned home for the past two days and had been unresponsive to calls. On reaching the flat and opening the centrally locked door with his own keys, he found his father dead.

Police said the body had stab injury to the right side of the neck and was shifted to SGM Hospital for post-mortem examination.
