CENTREVILLE — The Glen Oaks Community College men's basketball program is headed in a new direction.

On Monday afternoon, the school announced the hiring of Sam Waniewski as the new men's basketball coach. Waniewski has helped the Vikings off to a 2-0 start to date as they have victories over Kennedy-King College and Olive-Harvey College in their first two games, played at the Roadrunner Classic at Southwestern Michigan College.

Glen Oaks has started the season averaging 86 points per game in its wins.
