Ava Murray, 13, who has been involved with the Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association for the last three years, will be putting her saddle aside next month to lead the annual Parade of Lights from the seat of a police cruiser.

"I'm really happy," she said. "I want to see people I know because they go to the Parade of Lights every year."

Ava will be the honorary parade marshal for the 26th annual Thunder Bay Police Association Parade of Lights taking place on Dec. 6.

The parade will see trucks and vehicles decked out with holiday decorations and lights tour through the Intercity area, all in support Autism Ontario Thunder Bay, the George Jeffrey Children's Foundation, Special Olympics Ontario Thunder Bay, and the Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association.
