West Coast grocery giant Save Mart is transitioning two of its South Bay stores from Lucky supermarkets to FoodMaxx warehouse-style stores.

Both locations — in South San Jose and in Santa Clara — will celebrate the reopenings with ribbon-cutting ceremonies on Wednesday that will feature gift-card donations to local charities and other festivities. The public is invited to attend.

Then on Saturday, Nov. 8, starting at 6 a.m., the first 100 shoppers at each store who spend $20 or more will also receive a free bag of groceries and a $10 off $50 coupon.
