Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are set to reunite 25 years on for The Mummy 4.

Back in 1999, Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz starred in The Mummy, an Indiana Jones-style remake of the 1932 horror classic, written and directed by Stephen Sommers.

Following the action adventure’s success, the pair returned as Rick and Evy with their 8-year-old son Alex in 2001’s The Mummy Returns. Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT

Set 10 years later in 1933, the family once again take on Arnold Vosloo’s resurrected Imhotep and also Dwayne Johnson’s Scorpion King, who had his own prequel spin-off a year later.

Then came 2008’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor ,set in 1946, which was only produced by Sommers and was not as fondly remembered.
