INDIANAPOLIS -- As there continues to be uncertainty surrounding funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, dozens of area food banks are trying to help fill the gap for recipients.

In 2025, the Damien Center helped feed nearly 1,800 people. However, the center still needs help.

On Wednesday, Alan Witchey, the president and chief executive officer of the Damien Center, joined FOX59 Morning News Anchor Angela Ganote to discuss the center's day-to-day operations, the services they provide to area individuals and how the community can contribute to their efforts.
