New Delhi, Nov 05: The CBI Court has convicted and sentenced 13 accused in Safadarjung Co-operative Group Housing Society Case. Eleven convicted persons namely, Karamvir Singh, Narender Kumar, Maha Nan Sharma, Pankaj Madan, Ahawni Sharma, Ashutosh Pant, Sudershan Tandon, Manoj Vats, Vijay Thakur, Vikas Madan and Poonam Awasthi have been sentenced to Five Years imprisonment with fine.

Two convicts namely, Gopal Dixit (Rtd. IAS) and Narender Dheer (90 years old) have been sentenced to Two Years imprisonment with fine.

The instant case pertains to irregularities and criminal conspiracy in the revival of the defunct society from the office of RCS by using false and fabricated documents and later, on the basis of the revival order, the land was allotted by the DDA in favour of the society on
