STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Ebuka Okorie scores 26 points in his collegiate debut, leading Stanford to an 89-79 victory over Portland State. The game took place on Tuesday night as the season opener for both teams. Okorie, a freshman guard, made all six of his free throws and shot 9 of 17 from the floor. Senior Chisom Okpara added 21 points for Stanford. Sebastian Tidor led Portland State with 22 points. Stanford built a 37-30 halftime lead, with Okorie scoring 16 points in the first half. Coach Kyle Smith enters his second season with Stanford, following a successful previous year.
