A film described as an "unconventional yet moving grief drama" by Variety is set to hit cinemas soon. ‌

The film, based on Helen Macdonald's bestselling memoir, follows the story of Helen, a woman grappling with the loss of her father, Alisdair Macdonald, portrayed by Brendan Gleeson. ‌

Other cast members include Sam Spruell, Josh Dylan, Denise Gough, Lindsay Duncan, Emma Cunniffe and Arty Froushan. ‌

The film, H is for Hawk, will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 23 January 2026, with a new trailer now available.
