Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has stirred controversy with his latest remarks targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, suggesting that the Congress MP should be “officially declared mad.”
While addressing the media during an election campaign in Bihar on November 5, Sarma criticized Gandhi’s recent comments, claiming they reflected a lack of understanding of national and security matters.
“Rahul Gandhi is mad. Don’t talk anything about him. He speaks whatever comes to his mouth. If there’s a fight between India and Pakistan, we would want our army to have strong men who can defend the nation. But what does Rahul Gandhi say? He wants 10 per cent and 20 per cent reservation in the army. I urge my countrymen to declare Rahul Gandhi as mad,” Sarma remarked.
