Morrisons has revealed it is making major changes on 160 products sold in stores in a bid to help shoppers manage cost of living pressures - particularly in the run up to Christmas .

The supermarket announced it will be applying major price cuts to items including kitchen staples such as cereals, canned goods and cupboard fillers.

Morrisons says the cuts will also appear on items which are regularly placed in shopper's baskets, with an average saving of 25 per cent on these items.

Price cuts will also be applied to branded items, with Nestlé and Kellogg’s cereals, John West Tuna, Birds Eye Fish Fingers and Heinz Ketchup all included.
