Residents in Ravenel and Hollywood each elected three new Town Council members Nov. 4.
Ravenel residents reelected two Town Council members and elected one new candidate to council.
With all precincts reporting, incumbents LaJuanda Brown and Robert Cochran won reelection with 18 and 17 percent of the vote, respectively. Newcomer Ashton Singleton was elected with 19 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results.
Singleton will fill former Councilman Terry Wilkinson’s seat, which has been empty since August. Wilkinson resigned July 31 due to health issues and no longer lives within town limits, Mayor Stephen Tumbleston said at a July 29 Town Council meeting.
In Hollywood, new faces have been elected to lead the town.
