Driver crashes car in ditch and runs away, leaving his 77

A Wisconsin man was allegedly driving intoxicated when he crashed into a ditch before running off and leaving his mother to die in the passenger seat.

Casey Yiannackopoulos, 47, stands accused of first-degree reckless homicide , hit-and-run involving death and two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer. Cops responded around 7:15 p.m. Sunday to the S7100 block of Hillendale Drive to a single-vehicle crash in Muskego, a Milwaukee suburb.

When they arrived, they found a 77-year-old woman in the front passenger seat. She was the only person in the car. The driver, later identified as Yiannackopoulos, was nowhere to be found.
