LANDOVER, Md. — A 19-year-old will likely spend the majority of his life behind bars after he shot a man to death from inside a car in Landover earlier this year.

According to the Prince George's County State's Attorney's office, Raymond C. Terry III was sentenced on Monday to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence.

The sentence stems from the deadly shooting of 26-year-old Vincent Fisher III, a youth mentor.

Officials say Terry shot Fisher from the backseat of Fisher's own car in Landover in February. Another person was in the car when the shooting happened, but was not injured.
