Laughter is famously the best medicine, but one comedy theatre in Alabama is taking healing to the next level.
The Shenanigans Comedy Theater in Huntsville is a hub of comedy and entertainment. Neighbors can regularly attend stand-up comedy shows, see the in-house improv troupe and watch funny movies.
That’s just one layer of the theater. It’s technically a non-profit and its plethora of resources reflects its mission. You can find a free closet, library and now a pantry run by Shenanigans leaders and volunteers.
They are all under “ The Center ,” the resource arm of the non-profit organization.
Volunteers at work
When you go to a Shenanigans show, you’ll find some of the same volunteers taking your tickets, running the concession stand and for certain shows, delivering your food
