Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani began filling out his transition team just hours his historic win — appointing one of Eric Adams’ former top deputies who resigned in protest and other alums from the de Blasio administration.
Maria Torres-Springer will serve as housing and economic development leader during the transition period, Mamdani annoucned Wednesday.
Torres-Springer resigned as first deputy mayor along with three other deputy mayors in protest in the spring after Hizzoner cozied up to the Trump administration as the feds moved to dismiss his criminal case.
