WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Amazon announced that its Prime Air drone delivery service is now live in Waco, Texas.

The service is meant to bring the speed and convenience of ultra-fast delivery to local neighborhoods.

Customers in the Waco area can now receive millions of items through drone delivery, according to Amazon.

“Operating from facilities adjacent to Amazon’s fulfillment center, Waco has become one of the latest cities to offer this service,” a press release states.

The drone delivers packages weighing up to 5 pounds within approximately a 7-8-mile radius of the Waco facility.

Prime members can receive deliveries for $4.99, while non-Prime members can access the service for $9.99.
