DENVER (KDVR) — A suspect was arrested more than two years after a suspicious device was placed outside the Larimer County Justice Center.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office said Harold West, 42, from Loveland, was arrested on Tuesday after investigators believed that a fake explosive was placed outside the justice center in 2023 to delay a scheduled court hearing.
This arrest comes after the sheriff's office and other law enforcement responded to the report of a "suspicious device" outside the justice center in Fort Collins in the early morning of July 31, 2023.
After the report, people nearby sheltered in place until the Northern Colorado Bomb Squad removed the device, and the sheriff's office said people also evacuated the area. Court proceedings were also canceled for the day.
