California state Republicans are planning to take legal action after voters on Tuesday approved Democratic-drawn maps for the next three elections.
Proposition 50 will temporarily strip power from a voter-approved, citizen-led independent redistricting commission and give it instead to California lawmakers. The Democratic supermajority released new congressional districts that will attempt to make it easier for five more Democrats to win seats and represent the U.S. House of Representatives.
