November SNAP benefits should be on their way to Kentucky, with Gov. Andy Beshear announcing payments will begin processing Thursday, Nov. 6.

During a press conference, Beshear said he received confirmation from the federal government the morning of Nov. 5 that the payment process would begin the following day. The latest news follows significant back and forth over whether the benefits would go out during the ongoing government shutdown , leaving many scrambling to find other options for food .
