The Pirates announced their 2026 Grapefruit League spring training schedule on Wednesday. They’ll play 31 games in Florida, starting on Feb. 21 against the Orioles in Sarasota. Their home opener, at LECOM Park in Bradenton, will take place on Feb. 22 against the Rays.
The schedule also includes the Spring Breakout game, designed to feature each team’s top prospects, and an exhibition against a national team before the World Baseball Classic.
On March 3, the Pirates will host Colombia at LECOM Park. It's the Pirates’ fourth matchup against a World Baseball Classic team, as they faced the Netherlands in 2009, Spain in 2013 and the Dominican Republic in 2017.
