LINCOLN — An advisory group of University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty, staff and students disagrees with the campus chancellor on whether to cut certain academic programs.

UNL’s 21-member Academic Planning Committee described its recommendations in an unsigned Oct. 24 letter to UNL Chancellor Rodney Bennett. It based its decisions on anonymous online votes because of potential “conflicts of interest” from some members directly affected by the budget proposal and others who worked with Bennett to create the list.
