WalletHub, a company that does research on personal finance topics, recently published a study ranking states based on the quality of life, health care and economic environment for retired veterans.
Though Nevada received high marks for its economic environment (state tax on military pension carrying the greatest weight in that category), the state’s overall ranking was dragged down by its health care and quality-of-life scores. These factors pushed Nevada into the bottom 10 states for veteran retirees.
