CINCINNATI —

Several important levies and bonds were on the ballot Tuesday.

Voters approved a levy renewal for Cincinnati Public Schools, set to bring in $48 million each year for the next decade. Advertisement

The funding will be split between preschool programs and grades K-12.

In Colerain Township, law enforcement is getting a boost.

Issue 23 passed, generating more than $5 million over the next five years for the police department. Money that will go toward staffing and equipment upgrades.

But in the Lakota School District, voters rejected two tax increases aimed at addressing overcrowding.

The proposals would have generated more than a billion dollars for new school construction and renovations.

Meaning district leaders will now need to find a new plan to handle growth.
