The Seahawks waived safety Jerrick Reed II , making room on the roster for receiver Rashid Shaheed, who was acquired in a trade with New Orleans on Tuesday.

Additionally, receiver Mac Dalena was signed to the practice squad.

Reed, a sixth-round pick in 2023, was previously on the practice squad, then signed to the 53-man roster ahead of Seattle's Week 9 game against Arizona. Should he clear waivers, Reed would be eligible to return to Seattle's practice squad.

Shaheed, who was acquired in a trade Tuesday, with Seattle sending fourth and fifth-round picks to the Saints, arrived at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Wednesday morning to join his new team.
