Jammu, Nov 5: The 556th Parkash Parv (birth anniversary) of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was celebrated with immense devotion, reverence and enthusiasm by the Sikh community and followers of Guru Nanak Sahib across Jammu.

The main Gurmat Samagam was organized by the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC), Jammu at Gurdwara Yaadgar Sri Guru Nanak Sahib, Chand Nagar, from 10 am to 4 pm.

A large number of devotees from all walks of life visited Gurdwara to pay their obeisance and sought blessings on this sacred occasion.

The Gurmat Samagam commenced with melodious Shabad Kirtan rendered by eminent Ragi Jathas, including Bhai Balvinder Singh and Bhai Gurbhej Singh, both Hazuri Ragis from Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, and Bhai Simranjit Singh, Kathavachak from Gurdwara Panjhokhra Sahib
