WASHINGTON, D.C. – A group of US data scientists has released a list of “dearly departed” databases that have been terminated, altered or had topics removed since President Trump returned to the White House.
The focus is on the Trump administration’s actions against federal databases that do not align with his priorities. This includes data related to gender identity, diversity, equity and inclusion and climate change.
Data scientists reported that the number of completely terminated databases is in the dozens. However, they emphasized that the federal government produces hundreds of thousands of databases.
