BREAKING NEWS UPDATE

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A spokesperson for the National Transportation Safety Board said that an engine detached from the UPS jet involved in the deadly Nov. 4, 2025 crash.

That spokesperson also said the Flight Data Recorder and Cockpit Voice Recorder have been recovered.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Nine people have died following a UPS cargo plane crash and that number is expected to rise as Gov. Andy Beshear said on X that 16 families have reported loved ones unaccounted for .

A spokesperson for UofL Health confirmed that it received 15 patients across several hospitals after the crash. Of those, 13 have been discharged. Two remain in critical condition in the ICU at UofL Hospital.
