The UConn women’s basketball team added a marquee matchup to its 2026-27 schedule on Wednesday, announcing that it will face South Carolina in the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase next season at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The Huskies have appeared in the Hall of Fame Showcase every season since 2021-22, and the Gamecocks last appeared in 2023-24. UConn will play two games at the event in Uncasville this year against No. 13 Michigan on Nov. 21 and Utah on Nov. 23. Next season’s matchup in the showcase will be played Nov. 24, 2026.

UConn and South Carolina have gone head-to-head at least once every season since 2015, but the rivalry series is on a hiatus this year because of scheduling conflicts for the Huskies after the Big East expanded from 18 to 20 conference games. UConn leads t
