LIVINGSTON, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte has donated a quarter of his annual salary to The Producer Partnership, a nonprofit focused on providing hunger relief with locally raised beef and animal proteins.
Gianforte emphasized the importance of supporting community efforts during challenging times.
"As Montanans, we look out for one another and help our neighbors in times of need," said Gov. Gianforte. "Producer Partnership brings together folks from across our ag community to help feed families."
The Producer Partnership, founded in 2020, collaborates with Montana livestock producers to donate animals, process them for free and distribute the meat to food banks statewide. To date, nearly 350,000 pounds of protein have been donated.
