It was a busy weekend for Okanagan hockey fans as the Penticton Vees and Kelowna Rockets each wrapped up road swings with strong performances in Western Hockey League action.
The Vees split a two-game set against the Victoria Royals, while the Rockets closed out with a statement win over the Vancouver Giants.
Both teams will face one another tonight at the South Okanagan Events Centre beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Recently-acquired defenseman Peyton Kettles, a 2025 second-round NHL draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins, is expected to make his Rockets debut.
The Vees opened their weekend Saturday night with a commanding 6–3 win in Victoria. Jacob Kvasnicka led the charge with two power-play goals, while Cameron Norrie, Ryden Evers, Tristan Petersen, and Chase Valliant also scored. Hayden Moor
