Syracuse, N.Y. - JJ Starling is undergoing treatment today at the Melo Center and will be “day-to-day” as Syracuse prepares to play Delaware State Saturday in the JMA Wireless Dome, SU basketball spokesman Pete Moore said.

Starling played fewer than three minutes in SU’s season-opener Monday against Binghamton. He left the game with an apparent injury, hobbled into the Orange locker room with SU trainer Mike Mangano, reappeared on the bench shortly afterward but never returned to the game.

SU described it as a “lower body injury.” After the game, SU coach Adrian Autry said he had yet to be briefed on Starling’s condition, but because he’d heard nothing immediately, he assumed it wasn’t all that serious.
