US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he will not attend the 2025 G20 Summit scheduled to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, claiming the country “shouldn’t even be in the Gs anymore." Trump made the remarks while addressing the America Business Forum in Miami, reiterating his criticism of South Africa, which he had previously accused in May of committing “white genocide."
South Africa currently holds the G20 presidency under the forum’s rotating chairmanship. Trump said the country did not deserve membership in the group “because of what’s happened there," without explicitly elaborating on what he was referring to.
