Not that they’re short on funds for their football department, but the Nebraska Cornhuskers can use their outrageous alcohol sales at Memorial Stadium to fund Matt Rhule’s contract extension.
Last week, the Nebraska Cornhuskers (6-3) announced that they added two more years to Matt Rhule’s deal, keeping him under contract through 2032. Rule is having his best season at Nebraska this year after going 5-7 and 7-6 in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
Obviously, more wins equal happier football fans. Generally speaking, happier fans at sporting events tend to make more alcohol purchases. And according to new data, Memorial Stadium is leading the way on that front country mile.
Matt Brown of Extra Points requested data from 45 schools on the amount of alcohol they sold at their home football game
