Missouri football’s all-time points leader is back on an NFL practice squad.
The Los Angeles Rams announced Wednesday that they have signed former Mizzou placekicker Harrison Mevis to their practice squad.
Mevis, nicknamed the ‘Thiccer Kicker’ during his time in Columbia for his uncommon 240-pound frame at the position, previously was on the New York Jets’ roster earlier this year before being waived in September.
The Rams have one active kicker on the roster in Stanford alum Joshua Karty, who is statistically the NFL’s worst kicker this season with a 66.7% conversion rate of field goals and a 88.5% conversion rate on point-after attempts.
Mevis spent the spring in the United Football League with the Birmingham Stallions. He was 20-of-21 on field-goal attempts in the regular season
