Kyler Murray’s frustrating 2025 NFL season has quickly gone from bad to worse.

A day after the Arizona Cardinals announced that Jacoby Brissett would remain the starting quarterback, the team has placed Murray on the injured reserve as he continues to recover from a nagging foot injury, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Going on the IR requires Murray to miss a minimum of four games, so he won’t be eligible to return until Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 7. He’ll miss games against the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kyler Murray has missed the Cardinals’ last three games, and Jacoby Brissett has been excellent in relief, throwing six touchdowns and only one interception over that period.
