KIRT Field's violent rampage started with a torrent of abusive messages and voicemails threatening his partner and her family.
It ended dramatically in a Hunter train station car park when police closed in, ramming and flipping a stolen four-wheel-drive before swarming the driver.
Between March and June 2023, Field had kidnapped his partner and detained her at a Kurri Kurri campsite, hurt her, led police on a wild chase, escaped officers trying to capture him, left police injured in his wake, and stolen vehicles and petrol.
Field, now 39, was sentenced in Newcastle District Court on Wednesday to a maximum of 12 years behind bars.
