The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars and the Etiwanda Eagles met in their annual crosstown rivalry game on Friday, Oct. 24. The Cougars beat the Eagles in convincing fashion with a final score of 41-7.
After Friday’s game, Etiwanda dropped to 3-6 overall this season and 1-3 in league play. Rancho Cucamonga improved to 6-3 overall and 4-0 in league play. Each team has one final game left in their regular season.
The Cougars were almost able to pitch a shutout and hold the Eagles scoreless in Friday’s contest. The Eagles’ only points of the game came with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The Cougars were able to score 34 un- answered points before allowing points.
