Prince Harry has expressed his pride at being British ahead of his visit to Toronto next week to mark Remembrance Day.
The Duke of Sussex, who is married to American Meghan Markle and moved to California in 2020, on Wednesday published a surprise essay entitled ‘ The Bond, The Banter, The Bravery: What it means to be British – By Prince Harry .’
In the essay, the 41-year-old reflected on the significance of commemorating Remembrance Day, what he loves about the British spirit and his pride for the military and in the work of the military charities he is affiliated with.
The Prince did two tours of duty in Afghanistan. He said that while he now lives abroad, “Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for.”
