LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A pedestrian was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle hit-and-run crash in the central Las Vegas valley Wednesday afternoon, according to Metro police.

Just before 1:40 p.m., Metro police responded to the area of South Valley View Boulevard and Sirius Avenue near Desert Inn Road after a report of a crash involving three vehicles and a pedestrian.

Police belive that the suspected vehicle hit two vehicles before driving up on to a sidewalk and hitting the pedestrian. The suspected vehicle was outstanding as of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Valley View Boulevard was closed at Desert Inn Road, according to RTC Southern Nevada.
