MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile County Public School System is working to help students and their families during the government shutdown.

MCPSS is partnering with Feeding the Gulf Coast to help feed families while SNAP benefits are suspended.

Parents and guardians could fill out a form through Nov. 5 at noon to receive food.

That food is expected to be delivered to the schools on Thursday, Nov. 6, and will be discreetly distributed to families.

A list of food banks throughout Mobile County can be found on the MCPSS website.
